We at Hazwat faced a significant challenge: managing a large volume of canned tuna waste. This processed material was difficult to handle efficiently, requiring a flexible approach to our resources. Recognizing the need for responsible waste management, we decided to enhance our composting practices. To achieve this, we invested in a self-propelled turner, boosting our capacity and production.

The problem

The limitations of manual temperature monitoring

Previously, we relied on manual temperature monitoring for our compost piles. This was a time-consuming and labor-intensive process, requiring our team to climb the piles three times a day. This not only posed safety risks but also led to inaccuracies in our data. The lack of continuous monitoring made it difficult to effectively track the entire composting process.
